BERRY CELTIC FESTIVAL

On Saturday 27 May 2023, the Penrith RSL Pipes and Drums, along with eight other bands, attended the Berry Celtic Festival. Attendance at the event is by invitation only which makes this event even more special. Members of the band travelled down on Friday night (Dave / Lisle) to ensure we had the best location to set up our tent. On the day the band were spoilt by a huge bain of home made veggie soup (thanks Mark), as well as free soft drinks, coffee, tea and a BBQ lunch (Thanks Terry).

Assisting us on the day were 5 members of the NSW Police Pipes and Drums so a big thank you to to the boys for coming down and lending us a hand. We also had a member of the Penrith RSL Photography Club in attendance who took over 1300 pictures of the band going through the motions. Everything from the pre-Grand Street Parade, to the Grand Street Parade, the mass pipes and drums, drummers salute and of course the solo performance where each band were given time to showcase their individual skills. So thank you Keith for attending.

The event highlighted to all in attendance that we are definitely travelling in the right direction and are creating a family orientated environment for all to enjoy.
