ANZAC SCHOOL SERVICE
ANZAC SCHOOL SERVICE
Over 1500 students and teachers attended the ANZAC School Service at Penrith Paceway today. The service, which is an annual tradition in Penrith, was attended by over 50 local schools who provided representatives to lay their respective tributes in the wreath laying ceremony.
On hand to provide support for the second year running were 4 members of the Penrith RSL Pipes and Drums. In attendance were Stephen Iverson, Alan Harris, David Tyler (Drum Major) and Tim Badger (President).
Also on show to the public for the very first time was the bands new Class 1 uniform. It was amazing to finally accomplish a long term goal.
This is the first of many jobs for the Penrith RSL Pipes and Drums over the coming two months. Overall it was an amazing effort and the team should be justifiably proud of their efforts.
